Supposing your Skipper fell overboard or suddenly became unwell.  Would you know how to call for help?  The boat's VHF radio is an invaluable tool in an emergency, not just for summoning the authorities but nearby vessels who may be able to assist too.

Commencing at 10:00am, our fun and informal session will introduce the fundamentals of marine VHF radio and provide the opportunity to make a Mayday call and DSC Distress Alert on real training VHF radios.

At 12:00 midday, the RNLI will join us to speak about sea safety and offer members a free life jacket check.  Bring your life jackets along to ensure proper operation for the season ahead.

Both these sessions are free to attend and will include tea, coffee and biscuit refreshments.  Please register your attendance by midday on Friday 24th April to ensure your place. REGISTER HERE
