AYC Commodore Presents Cheque at AGM

An amazing total of £4,589.50p was raised for the RNLI during club activities and events held during 2025. A very successful auction of items donated by local businesses contributed over £2000 to the total. Other events included the annual laying-up supper, monthly draws and general fundraising throughout the year.

Accepting the donation on behalf of the RNLI, Chair of Lyme Regis Lifeboat Management Group, Petrina Muscroft said: We are very grateful to the work Axe Yacht Club members do year on year to raise money for our charity. This is an amazing achievement and the money you have raised will be put to very good use training and equipping our volunteers. Our lifeboat answered 40 calls for help last year. Donations like yours make this possible.

Axe Yacht Club Commodore Tom Preston said: We are delighted to be able to make this donation to the RNLI, a service which is always there when our members need it. It is always good to know that the Lyme Regis crew are only minutes away if our members get into difficulty out at sea. Keep up the good work.
