Cruiser Sailing

Coastal Cruising is a very popular Club activity, with AYC yachts & motor boats being regular visitors to other ports along the south coast, across the Channel, and further afield (Coastal Cruising).

Cruiser Racing. For those keen to race as well as cruise, there is a programme of bay & passage races (Cruiser Racing). The fleet of smaller day boats (eg Cornish Cobles, Drascombe Luggers, Falmouth Bass-boats, Devon Yawls, Beer Luggers & Cornish Shrimpers) race alongside the main cruiser fleet. Although the Club racing programme has not been well supported in recent years, this is something that the Executive Committee is actively looking at.
