    COVID-19 Update - 26th March 2020

Following the more stringent government directive this week, members should not be working on their boats in the AYC yard. Travelling to the yard should be considered an unnecessary journey. All preparations for boat launching including mast raising have ceased. The public right of way means that we cannot stop members of the public walking through the yard but we urge members to follow the government's advice at all times - minimise the time

Young or old, it applies to EVERYONE!!! Its great to see people working on their boats & good to see the first boat on the pontoons. Clubhouse Refurbishment

With most of the scaffolding down you can now see how the clubhouse is developing. Although the new roof makes the clubhouse look much bigger, the footprint has not been increased dramatically, but the inside space should be much more useable. Volunteer working parties will be organised in the next couple of weeks to help with decorating & fitting out. Let us know if you are available to help (weekdays or weekends).

Axe Vale Festival Awards Grant to AYC.

We are delighted to announce that Axe Vale Festival have awarded us a grant of £1000 from the profits of the 2019 Axe Vale Show. The funding is for a Gridforce ground protection system, which will be used to reinforce the shingle beach beside the clubhouse. This will improve accessibility to dinghy sailing in Lyme Bay & should be in place for the start of the 2020 sailing season.
