    Parade of Pirate Boats

    Thanks to sunshine and a northerly breeze, the Parade of Boats on Saturday was a great spectacle. AYC also raised over £600 for the Club's RNLI fund-raising pot with bacon baps, games and a lucky dip.     River Race 2 - Pursuit Race

    Here are the provisional results for the Pursuit Race, some interesting placings. Normally one would expect the breeze to ease off as the evening progresses, favouring the slow handicap boats. But strangely enough, the reverse happened. Just as the last boat crossed the line to make its start, the breeze filled in nicely!  All part of the fun. Feedback seems to indicate that another pursuit race would be appreciated later in the season,

    River Race 1 Results

    Grizzly Presentation Evening at AYC

    Reminder: Boat Insurance

    As the start of the season approaches make sure your vessels, including dinghies, sailboards and SUPs, are insured. All craft MUST carry third party liability cover of £3,000,000 minimum. By renewing your membership you confirm that you have read the Club Rules , which include byelaw xiv (Insurance).  Boating in the basin, estuary and on the approaches requires considerable care.  All harbour users are strongly advised to read the Pilotage notes -

    AYC Bar Re-Opens 4th March

    The bar will re-open tomorrow evening (Wednesday 4th March) following it's much needed deep clean and re-paint. It now looks really fresh and clean. It's ready to go - huge thanks to Martin!!

    AYC Commodore Presents Cheque at AGM
