AYC Development Plan

The Axe Yacht Club (AYC) development plan lays out the Club's ambitions and plans for a rolling five-year period. The main purpose of the plan is to provide a clear direction, enabling the Club to focus activity and investment in both people and facilities identified for development. The plan was introduced in 2018 and aimed to build on the success of the Club's '5yr Strategy to Develop Family Sailing' 2012-2017.

The development plan is reviewed by the Executive Committee every twelve months and updated where appropriate, to ensure its targets remain consistent with the changing circumstances and needs of the membership. The initial development plan (2018-2023) was significantly revised during the coronavirus pandemic 2020. It was regularly reviewed and updated by the Executive Committee in the three years following the pandemic. This current plan looks ahead to the next five years (2023-2028).
