AYC President awarded RYA Lifetime Commitment Award
It is with great pleasure that I can warmly congratulate our President David Crees on being awarded the RYA Lifetime Commitment Award!
Over the years David has done so much to encourage training - in all aspects; from the very early days of the evolving RYA curriculum, through to the present comprehensive range of courses, David has been at the forefront of training.
Having had discussions with the RYA SW Regional Representative, it was felt it was high time that David was given some recognition for his long-standing service towards sail training. The nomination went through the RYA's national process, and we were recently informed that David has been awarded the Lifetime Commitment Award. The presentation will be in London at the RYA AGM award ceremony during November.
