AYC Party Raises Funds for RNLI Lyme Regis

Our brilliant social team lead by Steve Robertson ensured that the clubhouse was scarily decorated for Saturday's Halloween-themed laying up party. The magnificent kitchen team, Mark & Fiona Mann, ensured that everyone was well fed before the evening's compere Terry Sharp, complete with gold glittery jacket, got the fund-raising proceedings underway. Thanks to some exceptionally generous donations, 9 lots were auctioned, raising a fantastic £1,860 for the RNLI. There was also a raffle with a huge number of very good prizes all kindly donated by local businesses - the raffle raised a further £775, bringing the total raised on the night to £2,635. Music by local band 'Plain Sailing' ensured that the whole evening was a huge success. 

AYC is extremely grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the event and to all the businesses who so generously provided donations. The funds raised will be added to other amounts raised during the year and will be presented to representatives of the RNLI at the AGM on January 25th.
