Club Dinghy Sailing Weekend

After a very quiet season so far, it was fantastic to see some dinghy action this weekend. It was fresh on Saturday morning but everyone coped well - 3 Fevas, 2 Topaz and a Vibe with the more experienced helming. And great to see an Oppi out with some newbies following the Honwave - well coached by Clare!! Then the wind went northerly, the sea flattened and a trip to Beer for ice cream was in order. Ice cream orders served on a tray to each dinghy! 16 sailors on Saturday, ranging from the very young to the slightly older! Great to then see so many return today - 12 sailors in 8 boats (2 Fevas, 3 Topaz and 3 Taz) in light winds which enabled the less experienced to get back into Tazs. To make this happen takes teamwork and I have to say that the team was fantastic. Thanks so much for your support and enthusiasm. Here's to several more weekends like that over the summer hols.
