Discover Sailing - AYC's Open Day.

Axe Yacht Club Open Event - Sunday 2nd June 2024
As in previous years, AYC is offering a 'Discover Sailing' event (formally 'Push the Boat Out') on Sunday 2nd June. This Open Event offers a great opportunity to showcase the Club's activities. The continued success of AYC is reliant on attracting new members and a number of AYC members joined the Club as a result of a previous Open Day. The Club will be open from about 10:00 to early afternoon. We will also be formally welcoming new members who have joined AYC in the last year. Weather permitting we hope to be able to offer dinghy taster sails and a team is being assembled to manage those.
** This event cannot go ahead without the help of volunteers **
Can you help with any of the following for an hour or two?
- Serving tea/coffee & cakes
- Giving visitors a short tour of the boatyard
- Meeting and greeting - at the barrier, car parking, clubhouse reception
- If your boat is in the yard or on the pontoons could you be available to talk to visitors about your boat and boating activities
- Could you make a cake for the event?
