Cheques Presented to the RNLI

Despite the Charity Weekend being scaled down because of a clash with Colyton Carnival, the Sunday proved to be very successful. Having started with a thunder storm, the sun came out for the afternoon. Bacon baps and hot drinks raised £157 for the RNLI - well done Tony for manning the till! Wendy had excellent sales, accompanied by the added attraction of Lyme's RNLB. The Atlantic 85 performed some MOB exercises in the bay, followed by an alongside visit to our landing pontoon. This proved very popular with both the youngsters and grown-ups alike, with onboard 'tours' provided. Thanks to Carol & Nicola for organising the day. 

The Pig Racing evening was also a great success with over £1,700 raised by the Tote, raffle and guess the weight of the pumpkin. The kitchen team of Bee, Dave, Chris and Jackie served over 100 people Colyton butcher's sausages with chips, beans and coleslaw. Big thanks go to the Sammons family for organising the pig racing and to our brilliant compere Stephen H.
