Curry Evening in Aid of the Devon Air Ambulance - Sat 13th Jan 2024 - FULLY BOOKED

Penny and Noel Coplestone have been longstanding members of Axe Yacht Club and they would like to cook a fundraising supper for this very worthy cause. In May 2023 the family were training hard for a team event triathlon when Penny's sister, Susie, fell off her bike at Star Cross sustaining horrendous rib injuries rendering her completely unable to move.
An ambulance was called but the paramedics were not able to move Susie without further advice. A trauma Doctor from Exeter attended who, after examining her injuries, called the Devon Air Ambulance. Within 15 minutes of being picked up by the Air Ambulance she was in Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
Susie says from the first person arriving she knew she was in safe hands and is eternally grateful for the amazing care she received from the scene to hospital. This fundraising dinner is to add to her thanks.

7.00pm for 7.30pm sit down
The bar will be open from 6.30pm and there will be a raffle with (hopefully) a representative from the Devon Air Ambulance in attendance (please let us know if you would like to donate a raffle prize social@axeyachtclub.co.uk).
