COVID 19 Guidance: Face masks & use of clubhouse
Published 16:17 on 24 Sep 2020
** IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ **
The latest announcement by the Prime Minister means that we need to make some changes to our guidance on the use of the clubhouse in order to remain compliant. The penalties for non-compliance with the Government rules are now legally enforceable.
All members (aged 11 years & over) MUST wear a face mask/face covering when entering the clubhouse, even if you are just using the toilets (see GOV.UK for exemptions).
Please maintain social distancing at all times when in the clubhouse and remember to use the cones provided for the 'One In One Out' system when using the toilets. Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser regularly.
The bar will open at the usual times (5pm Friday, 5pm Saturday, 12pm Sunday). It will remain open subject to demand but MUST close by 10pm at the latest. Opening times will be reviewed regularly and members will be advised of any changes.
Follow the one way system when entering and leaving the bar. Please take a seat at a table and DO NOT order at the bar.
Your face covering MUST be worn until you are seated at a table in the bar. The 'Rule of 6' must be strictly observed both inside and outside. Mixing between tables/moving of tables is not permitted.
Orders will be taken at your table and you will be asked for your details for Track & Trace. Each table should identify a single 'Table Captain' who will be responsible for collecting the drinks from the end of the bar. The same person must do this every round and payment will be taken on collection (contactless card payment preferred). The 'Table Captain' must wear their face covering when walking to & from the collection point and maintain social distancing.
For the time being, we will not be offering food in the clubhouse. When you get up from your table to leave the bar please wear your face covering. Please put your empty glasses on the table provided, NOT back on the bar. Please wear your face covering until you are outside the building.
Please do not take offence if you are reminded to:
Wear a face covering
Observe the 'Rule of 6'.
We really want to continue to open the bar for members but we do not want to put members' health at risk - so if the guidance is not followed we will have to close.
Thank you for your co-operation.
