How long is the mooring waiting list? 

This varies but it is generally 3 to 5 years. Members can log in and see the waiting list HERE. 

How do I join the mooring waiting list?

You can join the mooring waiting list once you are an AYC member. Please email the Harbour Secretary with your name and details of your boat (eg type, size). Verbal requests cannot be accepted. The membership secretary will then invoice you for a refundable deposit of £60 to join the waiting list. Names are added to the waiting list in the order in which the deposit is paid to the membership secretary. 

I am on the mooring waiting list but my details are incorrect

It is your responsibility to keep the details of the boat you would like to put on a mooring up to date. No allocation can be made if your type/size of boat is listed as 'Unknown'. Please email Harbour Secretary with any updates.

Who should I contact about yard storage?

All queries are dealt with by the Harbour Secretary and NOT the Bosun. Due to the ever increasing demand for space in the yard, we have introduced a yard storage waiting list (separate to the mooring waiting list). 

How do I join the yard storage waiting list?

Summer Storage W/L

If you would like to join the waiting list for summer storage (AYC members only) please email the Harbour Secretary with your name and details of your boat (eg type, size). Verbal requests cannot be accepted. The membership secretary will then invoice you for a refundable deposit of £60 to join the waiting list. Names are added to the summer waiting list in the order in which the deposit is paid to the membership secretary.The waiting list is published on the website HERE.

Winter Storage W/L

• Winter storage is NOT available to non-Axe boats. 
• You can only join the winter storage w/l if:
  • You have summer storage or a mooring.
  • You are on the summer storage waiting list and/or the mooring waiting list. 
• If you join the summer storage w/l (£60 deposit), please tell the Harbour Secretary whether you would like to be added to the winter storage w/l too (no additional charge)

How much does it cost to join the yard storage and mooring waiting lists?

There is a refundable deposit of £60. If you wish to join both the yard summer storage w/l and the mooring w/l there will be two deposits to pay of £60 each.

I'm thinking of buying a boat or want to change my boat

It is ESSENTIAL to seek approval from the Harbour Secretary if you want to change your boat, whether you have a boat in the yard/on a mooring or you are on the waiting list. Please see PURCHASE/CHANGE OF BOAT for more details of what you should do BEFORE the proposed boat is purchased.
