The MVS is looking to establish 3 units in Weymouth, Charmouth and Axmouth/Seaton to operate patrols by boat and by foot along the coastline, to 'spot, plot, report and record' potential maritime and environmental hazards, suspicious activity and any incidents. These patrols will work closely with the HM Coastguard and where appropriate with UK Border force, Environment Agency, the police and the National Trust. There is an upcoming meeting at the end of January for potential volunteers to attend.
