COVID-19 Update - 26th March 2020

Following the more stringent government directive this week, members should not be working on their boats in the AYC yard. Travelling to the yard should be considered an unnecessary journey. All preparations for boat launching including mast raising have ceased.
The public right of way means that we cannot stop members of the public walking through the yard but we urge members to follow the government's advice at all times - minimise the time spent outside of your home and ensure you are 2 metres apart from anyone outside your household.
We remind members that you should only leave the house for 1 of 4 reasons:
- shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible
- one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle alone or with members of your household
- any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person
- travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home
