The AYC Development Plan lays out the Club's ambitions & plans for the 5yr period commencing 1st October 2018. The main purpose of the plan is to provide a clear direction enabling the Club to focus activity & investment in both people & facilities identified for development. Four AODs participated in September's Bosham Classic Boat Revival. The Axes were entered into Class C, grouped with the International 12s, dinghies of comparable performance. Steve Daniel in AOD No.6 Swallow , convincingly won the Class C five-race regatta. Nigel Daniel in AOD No.1 came second, Bryan Davis in AOD No.8 came in 5 th and Chris Ashlett-Brown in AOD No.23 came in 10 th . The weather was perfect, moderate NWlys and sunshine

River Axe is a great resource when we can't launch off the beach. Pirate adventure upriver today was a highlight!! A fantastic flottila of boats. Finding treasure, walking the plank - all included. If you want to report a problem or fault with Club facilities or equipment please fill out a form in the 'Defects Folder', which is located in the main entrance of the clubhouse. These will be dealt with during the week and not at weekends (unless an emergency). Remember that we are a self-help club and Executive Committee members should not be expected to deal with issues at weekends. Thanks.

The regatta weekend incorporates the final day of Cadet Week, a weekend fishing competition, cruiser & dinghy racing at Beer Regatta on Saturday, and cruiser & dinghy racing at Axe on Sunday. Congratulations to the 20 AYC Cadets who have had their dinghy sailing skills formally assessed by an RYA senior instructor from Sutton Bingham SC this month. Brilliantly coached by our own RYA Dinghy Instructor Steve, 12 of this year's beginners were awarded stage 1 & 2 certificates two weeks ago, and this weekend 8 more cadets had stage 3 & 4 skills signed off in their logbooks. 3 of these cadets demonstrated all the skills
