With most of the scaffolding down you can now see how the clubhouse is developing. Although the new roof makes the clubhouse look much bigger, the footprint has not been increased dramatically, but the inside space should be much more useable. Volunteer working parties will be organised in the next couple of weeks to help with decorating & fitting out. Let us know if you are available to help email@example.com (weekdays or weekends).

We are delighted to announce that Axe Vale Festival have awarded us a grant of £1000 from the profits of the 2019 Axe Vale Show. The funding is for a Gridforce ground protection system, which will be used to reinforce the shingle beach beside the clubhouse. This will improve accessibility to dinghy sailing in Lyme Bay & should be in place for the start of the 2020 sailing season.

Kevin has made an outstanding contribution to the Club, serving on the EC since 2010, initially as Social Secretary, then as RC Social. He then took on the role of Club Secretary from 2013 to 2016 & for the last 3 years has been Treasurer. 90 members packed into the Old Picture House function room to see trophies awarded to sailors & motor boaters of all ages. Duncan LD was most successful dinghy sailor in the bay races again, David M took most of the cruiser trophies. Aria K was best beginner & Ben C put in the best cadet performance overall. River race success for Nigel D, the IFI for Kate P & the biggest fish for Bob M
