Lockdown Easing Step 2: 12th April

Published 09:48 on 11 Apr 2021

Boating Activity

Boating activity is permitted from 29th March. RYA Mixed Household Guidance for sailing and racing applies. Gathering limits do not apply for organised activity on the water.

Shore based activities should be limited to the Rule of 6/two households. Please maintain social distancing at all times. Access to Fred's Shed is not allowed and any requests for loan of tools will be refused.

There is a legal exception to the wider limits on gatherings for volunteering purposes, such as lift-ins, working parties, committee meetings etc. However, the RYA advise limiting these to those which are strictly necessary and adherence to the Rule of 6/two households wherever possible.

Travel & Staying Away From Home

Travel for exercise and sporting activity is allowed. Overnight stays away from home in self contained accomodation by members of the same household will be permitted from 12th April. This includes staying on your boat.

Clubhouse Facilities

The clubhouse toilets are open - please observe the one in one out system put in place last year. Face coverings must be worn when entering the clubhouse. The clubhouse changing rooms can also open from 12th April but please minimise the use of these by changing at home if you can. Please use the individual changing cubicles rather than the open areas and wipe down any surfaces. Do not leave any kit in the changing rooms. An enhanced cleaning regime is in place.

The Clubhouse Bar

The bar will open for outdoor service from 5pm Friday 16th April - members must be seated at tables either on the decking or beside the flag pole - the Rule of 6/two households applies. The Government has confirmed that social distancing applies between tables, not within groups sitting at tables.

All members aged 16+ must provide their details for Test & Trace. If you have the NHS T&T app on your phone, please scan the QR code which is displayed around the clubhouse.

Face coverings do not need to be worn outdoors. Orders will be taken & served at the table.

Members must wear a face covering when entering the clubhouse to use the toilet facilities. Please follow the one way system through the clubhouse and observe the one in/one out system.
