Push The Boat Out Success !

Many Club members were involved in making this event the success that it was and I am very aware that I have not been able to thank everyone personally.Taking part was a "leap in the dark" for the Club, but the publicity generated and the raising of the club's profile in the local area can only be a positive influence when dealing with the many official bodies which now have to approve or licence use and maintenance of the Club site and our activities in the harbour or on the beach.

The response from the visitors on the day was very supportive (especially as wind conditions prevented many from getting afloat) and we will undoubtedly gain some new members as a result.

Whether you were: putting up posters; in a support boat; launching dinghies; putting your boat out for the static exhibition; taking groups round; manning the "dry land trainer"; providing tea and cakes; taking photographs; liaising with the press; or most importantly, talking to visitors and enthusing about the Club - THANK YOU!
