The Activities Afloat Committee is constantly reviewing the situation in line with current government rulings and advice from the RYA. The following activities are available to members, providing all social distancing measures are respected:-

  • Launch and retrieve from the slip way - for those wishing to bring their boats to the Club, please arrange with James prior to arrival.

  • Dinghy sailing - where social distancing can be maintained (at present there is no support boat coverage). If launching from the beach, we would advise this only in settled conditions and for competent sailors. Understandably, at this time we cannot offer use of the Club dinghies and associated items such as buoyancy aids.

  • Cruiser sailing - for those wishing to launch, please arrange with James, but please remember that members are not permitted to stay onboard overnight.

In all activities afloat, please be mindful of prevailing conditions, keep within your own capabilities to avoid placing others at risk.

Over the next few weeks we will assess whether any form of racing can take place. This may well be possible for the cruisers, such as bay races and day coastal races.
