Cadet Week 2017: 23rd-30th July
This year Cadet Week activities will run alongside the Club's main Axe Regatta Week 23rd-30th July.
We will need your support to help run the week!!
If you've been to Cadet Week before you'll be familiar with how it works. For those new to Cadet Week there are a couple of notes to take account of:
Guardians: A parent or an authorised guardian must accompany each cadet to supervise their child and to help on the shore or in a support boat.
Costs: There will be a charge of £10 per cadet per day for the cadet dinghy sailing days to cover the cost of snacks, which will be provided mid-morning, and support boat fuel etc (no charge for Canoe sliding and Big Boat day).
Lunch: Because of the tides we'll be sailing in the morning and will do a short shore based session in the early afternoon. Cadets should bring a packed lunch which they can tuck into after a busy morning on the water.
Facilities: During cadet week, the canoe club has once again kindly allowed us to use their changing and showering facilities. It's important that we leave these facilities clean and tidy so there will be requirement for parents and cadets to participate in changing room cleaning duty during the week.
As always, these provisional plans and timings are weather dependent . . . So things could change. Updates will be posted on the Cadet Week Updates page (you need to be logged in to see this).
