Friday Evening Talk
15th December 2017, 19:30 - 21:00
Dennis Shepherd will give a short talk on Sir Henry Pigott, who died this August at the age of 92 years. Sir Henry was one of the UK's most distinguished solo sailors. His notable passages included a voyage to Brazil and back via New York in 1973 aboard an 18ft Mirror Offshore, and more than 20 years sailing the 19ft 6in junk rigged Glory II, in which he briefly held the world record for the smallest yacht to circumnavigate.
There will be no entry fee and no food following this talk. The bar will be open as usual and the talk will start at 7:30pm.
